The wooden walkway leads to a jungle of mangroves and streams. Effectually the infinity pool, teak chairs and chaises from Sutherland, their arms and legs unusually refined. In the family room, a Vietnamese bed — with a box beneath information technology for toys — makes a large and gracious coffee table; striped textile on the cushions and bolsters of the cane-back slipper chairs comes from Sometime Globe Weavers; pillows on the Irish gaelic linen sofa are Cowtan & Tout's LeBrun toile.

A modernistic entry hall is aged and softened by an antique Indian mirror on the stairs, and an antique bench wrapped in vintage Ikat textiles.

The "map room" sofas and ottoman are upholstered in Cowtan & Tout cottons with contrasting welts. The Anglo-Indian sconce was found at Guild Antiques. Bell gave a new wall map an antique look with clear semi-matte acrylic glaze tinted with raw sienna and raw umber.

Colour Bedroom
In a plantation-similar master bedroom with a stenciled frieze, antique pier tables are the perfect bedside height for the unusually loftier British Colonial-style bed; the fabric of the canopy'south valance is from William Ashby, and the bed skirt, in Hinson'south Dottery Bluish on off-white, matches the custom order chair and ottoman. The pattern of the Stark carpet is echoed on the master bathroom floor. Custom wall color is glazed and combed. Bell designed the decorative Gothic trim.
